Noise levels typically range from 1 to 7 sones, with lower numbers indicating quieter operation. For a quiet kitchen environment, look for a range hood with a noise level of 1-3 sones. If you often cook for long periods or have a kitchen that opens to living areas, a quieter model will be more comfortable.
CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute)CFM measures the amount of air a range hood can move per minute. This spec is important because it determines how effectively the range hood can remove smoke, steam, and odors from your kitchen. Generally, higher CFM means better performance.
